"A worm underfoot, provides no
comfort." -- Deepak, Jr.
If
you don’t believe me, just try this barefooted, once! I was trying to develop a new shoe
liner. Worms just couldn’t cut it. They don’t make much noise, which was a plus,
but they sort of slid around so I couldn’t really concentrate the cushioning
properties of their guts on the pressure points that really mattered. It was all a matter of engineering and
physics. I decided, instead, to bump it
up to banana slugs. Now, those mothers
are awesome, underfoot!
